The "What's In It For Me"

This is the opportunity to partecipate to the first FB post's metachronal wave in history!
We are the community who will build it up together.

We will lounch other waves, flowing into our WorldWide Daily Life, from what we cook for lunch on sunday, to how does it look like our monday morning. It is the sweep around the world that makes it so unique.

This is a no profit community.
If we grow in number and sponsors sniff any kind of commercial interests, we will find the way to give money to charity. And actually it would be great if we could launch waves for world hunger relief or any other campaign for a good change. But by now it's just a dream....

Call for Facebook-ers in every timezone

Wow! The FB page begins to be liked. Thanks to everybody supporting the Wave.
We need now to extend the coverage as much as possible.
As you know, we have 24 time zones. Sooo, we need at least 24 facebook-ers willing to trigger the Wave :-) .... Castaways on the ocean are also welcome. Provided they have connection...

And if we reach 500k people (ref: What is the average number of concurrent users on Facebook? )per timezone we'll give a call to Facebook to warn them. But we won't reach 500k people per timezone on the first wave, don't worry.

Post here a little Message you want to give to the world. Put the name of your city between brackets at the begin.Use any language you feel comfortable with.

Ideas for other waves are:

Cook something healthy for the ones you love. Give us a pic or the recipe. Date: to be determined.

Go running/biking/climbing, do any sport today. Upload it with your  app, or pic or tell us with a post. Date: to be determined.

Take a pic of the one (two, three, four…N), you love. Date: to be determined.

Tell us what would you do, if you could use once a magic wand. Date: to be determined.

Take a pic of your Monday morning. Date: a monday to be determined.

Metachronal wave

Just found on wikipedia, that what we want to launch is a Metachronal Wave.

A Metachronal Wave refers to wavy movements produced by the sequential action (as opposed to synchronized) of structures. These movements produce the appearance of a travelling wave.

A well know example is the Wave in the stadium. When successive groups of spectators briefly stand, yell, and raise their arms.

Another suggestive example is when New Year starts around the world. And we have Fireworks first in Samoa, then Australia, following Asia, Europe, America ...

But the WAVE should be associated with a positive message. This way we not only have fun, we promote positive things.

What is this all about ?

We want to create a WAVE of events around the globe. On day X at local time interval Y, do action Z, post it on the Follow the Sun Follow the Fun FB Page and have fun riding the wave.
